About the Job
BARISTA
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic experienced Barista who enjoys working with people and being part of a team. Prior barista experience is required. Baristas are responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other menu items in a clean and efficient environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS system.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company recipes and standards.
- Prepare and serve pastries and other designated food items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station.
- Complete opening, shift, and closing responsibilities.
- Restock cups, lids, syrups, milk, coffee, and other supplies as needed.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, work areas, and customer areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
- Communicate with coworkers and management to keep service running smoothly.
- Assist teammates during busy periods and be willing to help wherever needed.
- Provide prompt, professional service and work to ensure every customer has a positive experience.
Qualifications:
- Prior barista experience required.
- Experience preparing espresso-based beverages and operating commercial coffee equipment.
- Friendly, positive, and customer-service focused.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to follow recipes, procedures, and company standards consistently.
- Comfortable handling money and using a POS system.
- Willing to learn and receptive to coaching and feedback.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with the position.
